What a difference a doll makes...

Yesterday I invested in a baby.
It was about time. After all I am not planning to have one. And even if I would it would be only usable as a baby hat mannequin for a few years.

So I bought a doll to model. Which is not as easy at is seems. Most dolls are to small. And a lot of them bring thoughts of Rosemary's Baby, Chuckie and other horror movie babies to mind.

This one (Berenguer) did just fine.
I must say I am very content with the improvement of photos it gave.

What do you think?

Monsieur Felix sends a parcel

Vintage thingfinder Monsieur Felix has sent me a parcel, following our meeting at Echt Waar Bazaar in Utrecht:

 Is it a monster?

Thank you, Monsieur Felix! This woolly fish will make a gorgoeus Cheshire Cat scarf.

First Dutch Etsy Showroom - in Utrecht

Last weekend was a blast at "Echt Waar Bazaar", a bazaar for makers and designers which is regularly held at In De Ruimte (Utrecht).

This edition was dedicated to Dutch Etsy shops.
Etsy is an American based website, or more a community, where you can buy handmade and vintage art, fashion, accessories, furniture etcetera.
It's free to register. Practically all shops accept payment via PayPal, and at a growing number of Dutch shops you can also pay in Euro by bank transfer.
Next to registering as a buyer, you can also sign up as an Etsy seller and start your own little web shop.

Last weekend in Utrecht was the first Dutch Etsy Showroom. With only 30 booths this showed just a small portion of all the Dutch (design) talent on Etsy. So I was thrilled that I had the opportunity to participate with my Miss Minoes shop.
As it was an early start on Saturday, so I was very happy to have Tarah of KittyDarknessDesigns as a travel companion on the train from Leiden.

I talk…
