New on my blog: crafty markets calendar

I never seem to know which crafty market takes place when & where in the Netherlands. So I added the Google Calendar gadget to my blog at the bottom of the page.

I entered the markets I found on the web to the calendar. I'm sure there are more, so please do send me TIPS about upcoming handmade/art/craft markets.
I am looking for markets with booths from artists, designers, crafty people.
So please no tips about wholesale commercial creative supplies markets.

For this year I plan to visit some of the crafty markets purely as a visitor/buyer, and to maybe meet some artists I only know from the web.
I know from experience that once you have a booth you usually are stuck there for most of the day.
Also I have mainly knitted hats on stock, not much use for a summer market. To expand my summer collection is high on my priority list.

iemand is me al voor, maar inderdaad de Craftparking markt in Maastricht ontbreekt nog aan je kalender. Goed idee die kalender b.t.w.!

Vreemd dat jullie Craftparking niet kunnen zien wanneer je naar augustus scrollt, want die had ik er wel al direct ingezet. En hij is voor mij wel zichtbaar!

Ik ga dit verder uitzoeken.

I treasure my interchangeable circular needles. They are easy for adding needle length when knitting large shawls. And you always have all needle size/length combinations at hand. My circular needle set is from KnitPro , but there are other brands who carry them, like HiyaHiya. The only size that didn't work for me was 3mm. The wooden tips kept breaking. Steel points are better for me when thin needles are required. But for everything 3.5mm and up I am very content with Knit Pro. Sew Along - Worlds End Drape Shirt - part 1

After coming across a post about Vivienne Westwood's Reading List I was browsing around on the WORLDS END SHOP blog and found an interesting free Do It Yourself pattern of the Drape Shirt . Enthusiastic I shared the link to Facebook friends. And now some friends are going to make it as well. Do you want to join in? Very important: do not mess up to order of the papers or you're screwed! Clear a floor space of 2x2 meter minimum. Start in the top left corner. Lay the first printed page down. DIY ear cushions for headphone / Crochet pattern

A couple of years ago I bought a Logitech Headset ClearChat Style. The set was a nice little price and perfect for Skype. And after a few years the headset still works fine. However I did get a problem with the soft ear cushions falling apart. "Easy to fix" I thought, I'll just buy some new ones. Alas: these are not available! A friendly guy at the electronic shop helped me trying if other brands would fit, but we couldn't find the right ones. So I got in touch with Logitech, asking which replacement ear cushions they would advice. But they couldn't advice beyond whether or not the warranty still would apply. I knew my purchase was too long ago for that. But I didn't want to discard a complete headset, just because I couldn't find new foamy ear cushions.
